When you find that the number of uncategorized files displayed doesn't match the actual number of visible files, there are usually two common causes:

Using sync tools, but the library hasn't fully synced to local storage
Inconsistency between the library's cached data and actual data

Solution 1: Check Sync Tool Settings

If you're using sync tools (such as Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.), this situation is quite common. Since Eagle is a local application, it needs the library to be completely saved locally to correctly read and display data.

Please ensure:

The library has fully synced to local storage
Files are not just placeholders while actual files remain in the cloud

Solution 2: Repair Cache and Clean Invalid Data

If syncing isn't the issue, there might be incorrect cached data or invalid files. Please follow these steps:

Click the library icon, open the library menu, and select "Clear Cache and Reload"
If using sync tools, ensure all files have been completely downloaded to local storage
Switch to "Uncategorized", hold Ctrl and click the library name to access hidden repair tools
Select "Repair damaged metadata.json files" to fix corrupted metadata files
After repair is complete, hold Ctrl and click the library name again, select "Clear Invalid Content"
Click "Reload Library"
Hold Ctrl and click the library name again, select "Clear Invalid Content"
Select "Repair Invalid Content"
Materials without original files will be moved to "Trash"
Go to "Trash" to confirm the cleared materials, then right-click and select "Empty Trash" to complete the cleanup
